Yanina Manolova is a freelance photographer and a graduate student at Ohio University's School of Visual Communication.
Yanina is native from Varna, Bulgaria. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from University of Sofia, Bulgaria. In 2007 she attended the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) News Video Workshop in Norman, OK and was selected for a publication in a photo book at the Mountain Workshop in Photojournalism. In 2008, she was accepted into the Eddie Adams Workshop Barnstorm XXI.
Yanina has worked on different projects in Africa, Latin America, Europe and USA. Her real dedication is working on worldwide humanitarian and health care associated projects.
Her work has been featured in the US Oncology News magazine, CITY magazine, World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Population Fund, The Fistula Foundation, Women in Photography, Women Photojournalists of Washington, National Geographic (Bulgaria), "The World Greatest Black & White Photography", "Masters of Color Photography", ?Best of Photography Annual 2007", and ?Album 2006 Award Winning Wedding & Portrait Photography? by Rangefinder magazine.
Yanina has won several international awards and various nominations including in the Northern Short Course in Photojournalism, Southern Short Course in News Photography, NPPA 2008 Women In Photojournalism, PX3 Prix de la Photographie (Paris), Black & White Spider Awards, International Color Awards, National Geographic (Bulgaria), Professional Photographers of America (PPA), and several times in the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI).
Her photos appeared at numerous exhibits, including exhibit of her photos and Mark Parascandola's photos at Nevin Kelly Gallery /Washington, DC/.
In September of 2007, she published her first book "Neprozrenia" in Varna, Bulgaria, a collection of fine art photos and poetry, created in the period of 2005-2007.
